  Well,what is there with this android. Android is basically an open source operating system for the mobile platform .The online giant Google acqired this company Android Inc in 2007.that was the boom of smart phones with apple releasing its iphone .Google started working on the android OS and it was out in market. Google's Nexus was featured by HTC which incorporated the Android OS in the device.It was followed by Samsung and that was a great boom for Samsung as it expelled the other leading players like motorola,Nokia ,sony in the mobile field.Android started giving a tough competetion for the iphones which was developed with its own Ios Operating system.

Features of Android:

Just like how iphone has its app store. Google's Android has its applications in the "Google play" which has about millions of application in it right now with nearly 100's of app being submitted daily.As I have mentioned in my previous post on app market, Android apps also has a demand these days as more and more developers are getting into developing apps for android OS.Since more apps are getting into this Google play, android app marketing also takes place simultaneously from the time of developing apps.

Cost efficiency:

Many people prefer android on the basis of cost.Most of the smart phones incorporating android OS are relatively cheaper when compared with the iphone.Samsung's annual revenue tripled eversince they started incorporating Android in their smart phones and it just outsmarted Nokia which was the leading player in the mobile industry. It is to be noted that the main lag of Nokia is that they hung on to the SYMBIAN OS instead of Android and lately they have joined along with Microsoft and ket Windows OS in their mobile devices.

The latest version of the Android is version 4.2 and is known as "jelly bean"
