Role of iphone apps?

          "App" typically means an application ,developed using any software to run and accomplish specific task on specified platforms.

Integrating both the features of PDA and a telephone Apple released its first smartphone in 2007 called "iphone" out in the market with the quote of "say hello to iphone".The very successive year Apple launched its next generation "iphone 3G" which introduced the buzzword "app" in the mobile industry.

It just started with meeting the initial requirements such as contacts,calenders,calculator,clock,browser.People found it useful and with the increase in number of mobile production and sales,many useful apps came into picture such as News stand,Note, etc..which were treated as useful tools of the mobile user.Later in 2007,Apple's iphone introduced its "appstore" which has all its free and paid apps collected into it.

With the boom in mobile devices and internet, many popular websites whose majority of the traffic arrived from mobie ( almost 60%)  showed interest of converting their website into mobile app version.Many search engines ,social media and networking sites engaged themselves in this and found it very successful.Web 2.0 eversince it was launched is seeing a great drift with mobile and mobile apps are going to rule the web in the near future.

Why an app??..why not to use a browser?.

Eversince the launch of apps there is been a great debate going in forums, panels on brwser vs app.
By using an app you will find the following as pro's:
- the main advantage is that you save hell a lot of time.
-you can access at the instant whenever you need to. (Eg:its like you can pop in whenever you need even if it is for a very short span of 2 minutes without turning on and off your laptops or PC's)
-most of the times you want to be targeted to what you want and you get that in an app.

And similarly browser also has some advantages over app for certain activities and they outsmart apps in
-shopping
-searches
-entertainment

These are carefully noticed by app developers and they set the trend on app by developing apps for the latter too.(Eg: Google has its own search app,You tube has its own app and so on)      

 Ultimately its the same in both but you are taken to the place where you want to be without wasting much of your time online using apps.
A simple picture would clearly depict why is app marketing needed.
